Government keen to popularise local traditional foods says Tourism Department Principal Secretary Mukhesh Kumar Meena

Guntur: Principal Secretary, Tourism department Mukhesh Kumar Meena said that the state government has taken steps popularize our traditional foods in the state.

He inaugurated a food festival at Capital Hotel here on Tuesday. 

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government was conducting food festivals in all districts. 

Tourists give preference to local traditional food. He said when they order for traditional foods, the hotels should be in a position to supply the local traditional food. 

This would result in increased demand for local traditional food.

He further said that they were imparting training to the cooks to prepare local traditional foods and added that they would conduct this type of food festivals in all districts.
