Rs 2,500 cr works taken up in Darsi during 4 years: Siddha Raghavarao
Darsi: The Government of Andhra Pradesh is giving top priority to welfare activities for the public, announced Siddha Raghavarao, Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology. He inaugurated and laid foundation stones to various development works with a budget of Rs 5 crore in Darsi Assembly constituency on Monday.
Speaking at a meeting at Tahsildar office, Raghavarao said that no state was taking up such a large welfare schemes introduced by the Andhra Pradesh. He announced that to make the state as a drought-free state, the Chandrababu Naidu government was linking rivers and achieving great results. He said that the government introduced Chandranna Bima to help the poor families and giving Rs 5 lakh, if the insured died in an accident and giving Rs 2 lakhs, if the insured dies naturally.
He claimed that about Rs 2,500 crore worth of works were taken up in Darsi constituency since he was elected as the MLA from there. He announced that he achieved such a development in the constituency in just 4 years, whereas the others couldn’t able to achieve in the last 20 years.
On Monday, the minister participated in the ground breaking ceremony for NTR Kreedavikasa Kendram, planning to be build with Rs 2 crore budget apart from other development works. The Zilla Parishad vice-chairman, Nukasani Balaji, Darsi MPP Pusala Sanjeevaiah, special officer B Ravi, Kandukur in-charge RDO Naik, Tahsildar Vijayakumari and others also participated in the programme.
