8th Krishna University Inter-Collegiate Cross country Tournament organised in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Students from various colleges under Krishna University participated in the 8th Krishna University Inter-Collegiate Cross-country Tournament organised by Vikas College of Physical Education (VCPE) on Friday.

Students from 16 colleges participated in Men category and students from 6 colleges took part in the women category, said tournament chairman Dr S Raju.  

International player K Krishnamohan was the chief guest and flagged of the event.

Speaking on the occasion Krishnamhan said that the players who won medals for the country were given encouragement by the government and the players should strive hard and make use of the opportunities.

Guest of honour Dr S Srinivas Rao said that Krishna University was participating in sports events and was winning medals, which was a good sign.

Later, prizes were given to the winners by the guests.
