Collector flags off mobile ATM

Visakhapatnam: Collector K Pravin Kumar on Monday flagged off a mobile ATM of District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) at the Collectorate in the city. The mobile ATM service was introduced specially to facilitate the farmers in villages to avail the service. 

Speaking on the occasion, Pravin Kumar said the mobile ATM spreads the digital financial services into rural areas and hereafter the farmers in villages can do transactions, cash deposits and withdrawals through mobile ATM from their home.

DCCB CEO DVS Varma said the mobile ATM has brought up with GPS tracking system with an expenditure of Rs 15 lakh funded by the NABARD. Every district got one mobile ATM vehicle in the state and each atm will be loaded up with Rs 5 lakh cash.

The DCCB CEO also handed over a cheque of Rs 1.70 lakh collected from their employees one-day salary for the sake of victims in Kerala floods.
