Brindeswari Prasad Mandal remembered on his 100th birth anniversary
Vijayawada: Brindeswari Prasad Mandal’s service to politicians, employees, education and others fields to uplift the downtrodden and the poor was commendable, said Jatiya Sama Samaja Party (JSSP) secretary Jakka Srinivas Rao.
Speaking on Mandal’s 100th birth anniversary on Saturday, Srinivas said that Mandal Commission report played a key role in the development of India.
He further said that Mandal was the first to demand reservation in private sector for the SC, ST, BC and minorities.
Mandal demanded for reservation in private sector as majority of sectors are private, he added.
JSSP district president N Srinivas Rao, Advocate Ch Sripathi Yadav, Khaleel, U Shivappa, Naga Munindra, L Bhaskar, M Vijaya Kumar and others were present.
