Mass Varalakshmi Vratam organised in Kakinada

Kakinada: Mass Varalakshmi Vratams (pujas) were organised at Sri Venkateswara Temple in Karapa, the mandal headquarters about 15 kilometers from here, on the first day of Sravana Masam on Friday. The programme was organised jointly by Endowments department and AP Brahmin Corporation.

In total, 410 women participated in the mass Vratams . The religious rituals were performed by temple priests Gopalakrishan and  Anantacharyulu. All the participants in the Vratams were presented with prasadam and other items as per the tradition.

Deputy Commissioner of  Endowments D Rajesh Babu,  Karapa MRO Sri Devi, MDO Kama Sastry, Panchayat special officer Satyanararyana, temple EOs Vaddadi Sattibabu, Ramana Murty and others participated.
