Flag hoisted with patriotic fervour in temple city

Tirupati: Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty hoisted the tricolour at Urban armed reserve police grounds here on Wednesday on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day celebrations. SP Mohanty has received the guard of honour from the AR and civil police contingents.

At MCT office, Commissioner V Vijaya Ramraju hoisted the National flag and later he presented the meritorious certificates to civic staff who have shown good performance in their duties. Similarly at SPDCL corporate office, the tricolour was hoisted by the MD SPDCL MM Naik.

Later the employees performed cultural events with patriotic theme. At SV University, VC Avula Damodram hoisted the tricolour and received the guard of honour from the NCC cadets.

At SV Veterinary University, VC Y Haribabu hoisted the flag at college grounds and students presented cultural programmes. At the office of Divisional Cooperative Office, the national flag was hoisted by assistant registrar K Brahmananda Reddy.

At Tirupati RDO office, divisional revenue officer Narashimulu hoisted the flag and later he distributed meritorious certificates to the employees.
