Survey on govt schemes from Aug 13 to 18
Eluru: West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar has informed that a survey on implementation of government schemes at field level in select districts of Kishna, Guntur and two Godavari districts will be held from August 13 to 18.
The Collector organised a one-day training for the nodal officers and enumerators of the survey. The Asia Competitiveness Institute and the National University of Singapore have been jointly organising the survey.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector informed that the survey team gathers people’s opinion on implementation of schemes for the poor in question-answer format. A total of 1391 families have been identified for conducting the survey.
Stating that a few families may not be aware of some government schemes, the Collector suggested the enumerators to explain relevant schemes to the families before eliciting their answers.
About 40 different schemes were being implemented in the district. Even using 4G, they can download the details from the official app.
Though the families understand English, it would be good to explain them in Telugu at the time of conducting the field survey, he added.
An official of Singapore varsity informed that as per the agreement with the state government, they would be holding the survey.
The survey report would be handed over to the government by March, he added.
