TDP fulfilled poll promises: Lokesh
Guntur: Minister for Panchayat Raj and IT Nara Lokesh said that he will allocate Rs 215 crore for drinking water schemes in Macherla Assembly constituency. He participated in the Grama Darsini programme at Mutukuru village under Macherla Assembly constituency on Tuesday and interacted with the beneficiaries of welfare schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the aim of the Grama Darshini programme is to know problems of the people and solve them on the spot. He said that the government will give dole to the unemployed youth Rs 1000 per month under Yuva Nestam scheme soon.
He said that after bifurcation of the state, 720 industrial units were set up and 2.20 lakh employment opportunities were generated in the state despite deficit budget. He reiterated that the TDP government fulfilled all the election promises made at the time of 2014 Assembly elections and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was working hard for the development of the state.
He reminded that the government waived off crop loans taken by the farmers and giving social security pensions to all eligible. He said the government was giving priority for the development of infrastructure in the state and laying CC roads in the villages. He said that every house must have a toilet in the state.
He reminded that daily wage of MNREGS worker per day is Rs 104 in 2014, after the TDP government came to power, wages of MNREGS workers hiked to Rs 205 per day. He said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was striving for the development of the state, but the leader opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy was indulging false propaganda against the TDP government.
Referring to Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan he said that the latter was making false allegations against him and demanded to prove allegations with evidence. He urged the TDP activists to work for the victory of the TDP candidate in the Macherla Assembly constituency in the ensuing Assembly elections.
Earlier, Lokesh, along with Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu, Minister for Civil Supplies Prattipati Pulla Rao, MLA Yarapatineni Srinivasa Rao inaugurated CCroads laid at a cost of Rs 4.29 crore. MLA GV Anjaneyulu, District Collector Kona Sasidha, were present.
