R’Seema develops only if Naidu contests from Kurnool: TG Bharat

Update: 2018-08-06 05:30 IST

Kurnool: TG Bharat, son of TDP Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh, on Sunday made a sensation comment.  He said if Kurnool is to develop on the lines of Amaravati, then Chandrababu Naidu has to contest from Kurnool Assembly constituency.  If Naidu contests from Kurnool, it  would ensure winning of 14 Assembly seats in Kurnool district, stated Bharat.

If Chandrababu Naidu is not willing to contest from Kurnool, then let the Assembly seat be allotted to the winning candidate after conducting a thorough survey, he said.  Bharat’s outburst comes after the recent announcement of candidates to Assembly seats in Kurnool district and for Kurnool parliament constituency by Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh, during his visit to Kurnool.

Even TG Venkatesh has also strongly reacted over the announcement of candidates at the time. Expressing his displeasure, Venkatesh said it is not appropriate to announce the candidates so early as there is a procedure to follow.

The candidates would be declared at the time of issuing ‘B’ forms. He also commented that the announcement of Nara Lokesh is invalid as he is not the appropriate authority to announce the candidates. He is neither the party president nor Chief Minister. Actually, the party president or the Chief Minister has the authority to announce, stated Venkatesh during the launching of Anna Canteens in Kurnool recently.

After the announcement of candidates to Kurnool Assembly and parliament seats, a sense of uncertainty is prevailing among the leaders of Telugu Desam party. TG Venkatesh has been  striving to get Kurnool Assembly seat at the next general elections to his son TG Bharat. But the announcement of Nara Lokesh  has greatly disappointed TG Venkatesh with which he had skipped several government programmes.
