Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council organises awareness session to gold traders
Nellore: All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) organised ‘Labham’, a one-day awareness programme for the gems and jewellery traders on mandatory aspects of Income Tax, GST and hallmarking in city on Tuesday.
The programme was organised in association with Nellore Bullion and Diamond Merchants Association at Nellore Arya Vysya Bullion Merchants association hall located in Ranganayakulapeta here.
Addressing the gathering, Ashok Kumar Jain, Director of GJC, said that they had designed ‘Labham’ programme for the benefit of jewellers for their understanding on various compliance procedures. ‘Labham’ helps to clear doubts on many complex practices of doing business, he added. He also explained that the programme would empower the business community to manage their business activity more effectively.
Ashok Kumar Jain informed that they are going to organise a B-2-B expo from 21 to 23 of September in Chennai for the benefit of stakeholders. We are expecting 300 exhibitors will participate in the expo and people from other countries also would take part, he added.
Nellore District Bullion and Diamond Merchants Association President Shantilal Jain said that the programme would benefit the local jewellers helping them to overcome teething problems of trade according to new norms and mandatory issues of the government.
