Awareness rally on hepatitis flagged off
Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa on Saturday flagged off an awareness rally on hepatitis on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day. The rally was organised under the aegis of Apollo Hospitals and concluded at Masjid Centre in the main road where Chinarajappa also participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinarajappa said that as per medical experts, hepatitis can be cured if noticed in preliminary stages. He also complimented the Apollo Hospitals for conducting free diagnosis tests for hepatitis B and C patients. Gastroenterologist Dr Ravi Kumar explained various aspects relating to hepatitis B and C. Students from various engineering colleges, subdivision police officers Ravi Varna, Satyanarayana, Apollo Hospital doctors, staff and others participated in the rally.
