‘Tech, innovation effective tools for transformation’
Visakhapatnam: Technology and innovation are effective tools for country’s transformation, creating jobs for youth, observed Andhra Pradesh Special Chief Secretary and IT Adviser to Chief Minister JA Chowdary.
Inaugurating the international conference on ‘Technological innovations in management ecosystem’ organised by GITAM Institute of Management here on Friday, he mentioned that to solve the unemployment problem in the country, the government must encourage the IT-based micro-entrepreneurs in rural areas.
He said that the government of Andhra Pradesh is extensively using information technology in all sectors, including agriculture. He informed that the government is planning to establish bandwidth to all homes in the state to create innovative jobs.
Keynote speaker Integrated Workforce Management Senior Vice- President Sreekanth Arimanithya said that the shared economy has seen a huge revelation in the West and in India; the same is evolving and growing exponentially. He briefed that shared economy is a new trend and most importantly the work-life balance will shift to quality of life and well-being.
He said that 50 per cent of the world workforce would be in the online business model in coming years and good impact on countries GDP growth. He informed that virtual project management is also a new phenomenon in the management of ecosystem.
University of Nebraska (Omaha) International Studies Director Dr Patrick McNamara said that Indian values, family system, cultures attracting the western world but the Indians are slowly moving towards consumer culture. He mentioned that technology mixed with Indian philosophy is an appropriate driving force for the world.
Nipssing University (Canada) School of Business Director Dr Siva Prasad Ravi observed that technology and innovation should move side by side. He said that Israel is always in forefront in technology innovations when compared to other countries.
