Licence must, to ride vehicles, says DTC E Meera Prasad

Vijayawada: Deputy Transport Commissioner E Meera Prasad has said one can obtain LLR after attaining the age of 18 years.

He participated as chief guest at a programme organised by the Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala to mark two-day ‘LLR Mela’ organised by the NSS department and the computer science department of the college on July 25 and 26.

Addressing the gathering on Friday, Meera Prasad said that one should obtain LLR to ride a vehicle. If anyone rides vehicle without obtaining LLR, they can be punished and even sent to jail under Motor Vehicle Act, he added. 

He said that everyone should feel the responsibility to follow traffic rules and wear a helmet and seat belt while driving. 

The college principal Dr M Nalini, director Dr  T Vijayalakshmi, NSS programme officer Dr K Sarala, T Nagarani, Computer Science department HoD Anitha, students and others were present.
