Cable operators oppose pole tax

Bhimavaram: Responding to the call given by the AP MSO and Cable Operators Welfare Association, cable operators in Bhimavaram mandal submitted memoranda to Divisional Electrical Engineer and  Tahsildar here on Tuesday, requesting the government to cancel the pole tax of Rs 50 in urban and Rs 35 in rural areas under GO No  15.

The cable operators termed the GO as last straw on the camel as they had been already burdened by GST and hike in pay channel rates apart from technical changes.
