High Court Chief Justice worships Lord Balaji

Tirumala: Chief Justice of AP High Court T B N Radhakrishnan offered prayers to Lord Balaji at Tirumala on Sunday. Speaking to the media on the occasion, he said, “With the benign blessings of Lord Venkateswara, I will carry forward the vision of being the Chief Justice of the High Court of both Telugu States,” he said. He was on his maiden thanks giving visit to Tirumala after taking charge as High Court Chief Justice and had darshan of Lord twice on Sunday.

Justice Radhakrishnan said that he was looking forward to working with eminent people dealing with judiciary of the area. "The People of AP and TS are always known for their cultural identity and high level of education and their commitment towards national growth,” he added. Earlier, the Chief Justice had darshan of the Lord during Suprabhata Seva along with his family members. .

Later during break darshan, he offered prayers to Varaha Swamy, Swamy Pushkarini as per temple tradition.  On his arrival at the main entrance of Tirumala temple, he was accorded Isthikaphal welcome by temple priests following the traditional temple practice as mark of honour to the dignitary. The Chief Justice and his wife followed the age-old practice and tonsured their heads as ardent devotees before visiting the shrine.

After darshan of Lord Venkateswara, Vedasirvachanam was rendered to them at Ranganayakula Mandapam by Vedic pundits.  TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, Tirumala In-charge JEO P Bhaskar presented Sesha Vastrams, lamination photo of Lord and Teertha Prasadams to the Justice Radhakrishnan. 

Chittoor district Judge Junaid Ahmed Moulana, Temple Dy EO  Haridranath, Peishkar  Ramesh and others were present. Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa, Indian Bank Managing Director A S Raju,  film producer and yesteryear actor Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor along with his daughters Jhanvi Kapoor, Kushi Kapoor and Sridevi’s cousin Maheswari also offered prayers to the God during VIP break darshan.
