SRIKALAHASTI TEMPLE : Aksharabhyasam held for Kids
Tirupati: Srikalahasti Devasthanam has organised the annual ‘Aksharabhyasam’ programme for children on Saturday.
The programme was held at ‘Medho Dakshina Murthy’ temple premises in which 1,500 children have participated and started writing the Telugu alphabets after performing puja.
Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy participated in the programme in which the children have been given laddu prasadam, slate, slate pencil, pen and notebook free of cost by the temple authorities.
Later, the children along with their parents have been sent for darshan of Srikalahasteeswara Swamy and Gnana Prasuna Ammavaru. Most of the children participated were from government schools.
During his visit to Srikalahasti, the Minister also inaugurated TTD guest house built at a cost of Rs.4.2 crore. He participated in ground breaking ceremony for making the statue of Siva and Parvathi at Kailasagiri with Rs 2 crore.
Srikalahasti MLA and former Minister B Gopalakrishna Reddy, TUDA Chairman G Narasimha Yadav, former Chairman of SAAP PR Mohan, EO S Ramaswamy, former trust board chairman P Guravaiah Naidu and others took part in the programmes.
