Ramachandrapuram:  YSR Congress chief, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy expressed concern over lack of development in Ramachandrapuram Assembly constituency in East Godavari district in the last four years. Addressing a largely attended public meeting here on Saturday,  Jagan said that during late YSR regime  Rs 800 crore was spent on various developmental activities in the segment.

But in the last four years, there has been a complete negligence in developmental activities in the constituency he remarked. The Area Hospital in the revenue division head-quarters is in a state of negligence, he said.

The Area Hospital should have a minimum of 16 doctor strength to cater to the needs of people. But only half this number doctors have been managing the duties for the last four years forcing the people to opt for private medical aid, he said.  On scarcity of water for both irrigation and for drinking purpose, Jagan said that, the irrigation canals which are to be desilted every year are under negligence causing water shortage for both irrigation and drinking purpose.

Jagan on this occasion criticised Chandrababu Naidu for not keeping his promise of supply of 20 litres of mineral water for only Rs 2. The Chief Minister might have forgotten this election promise after the elections, he stated. The largely attended crowd cheered his speech throughout. Former minister P Viswaroop and  former ZP Chairman Ch Srinivasa Venugopala  Krishna and others accompanied  him. Large number of people gathered from Draksharamam to Ramachandrapuram and at some places submitted representations.
