Alumni of Red Convent distribute spectacles in Kakinada

Kakinada: The Red Convent Old Students (1978) Charitable Trust, in association with Badam Cloth and Eye Glasses Project, sponsored eye glasses to needy at a programme organised at the trust office here on Thursday.

The eye glasses were distributed as per the prescription of ophthalmologists of Kakinada Government General Hospital where the tests were conducted.

Alumni of Red Convent and officer of State Bank of India T Venkatalakshmi  distributed  spectacles to 100 needy persons.

Alumni association president and  the trust chairman  B  Balakrishna said that the trust so far spent Rs 3 lakh on various charitable programmers so far this year.

The trust secretary, S Papa Rao, treasurer K Ramakrishnan and others were present.
