SV Ranga Rao remembered

Rajamahendravaram: Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthi has said Samarla Venkata Ranga Rao was a great artiste and he contributed a lot to the Telugu film industry.

Participating in SV Ranga Rao's 100th jayanthi celebrations held at Godavari bund here on Tuesday, Krishnamurthi termed Rao as an icon for Telugu filmdom. Everyone should emulate him who rendered yeomen service to Telugu film industry.

Rao had given life to many characters with his acting skills and he was still alive in the hearts of the people. 

MP Maganti Murali Mohan said Ranga Rao was an institution and the cine artists should learn many things from his acting. He was a great human being more than actor and enjoyed stardom in cinema field though he faced many problems in his early stage.

Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary said that SV Ranga Rao impressed the audience with his style of action and dialogue delivery and “We cannot compare him with any other actor.”

Pantham Satyanarayana Charitable Trust chairman Pantham Kondala Rao underlined the need to start a training institute in the name of SV Ranga Rao in the historical city. The people cannot forget his action though he was not with us physically.

Aryapuram Cooperative Urban Bank chairman Challa Shankar Rao, former MLC Kandula Durgesh, SAAP director YVG Raidu and many others were present. 

Earlier, clothes were distributed to the poor artistes by Panthan Satyanarayana Chartible Trust, SVR Cultural Association and Chiranjeevi Youth.
