Cancer institute under PPP mode to be set up
Kakinada: A cancer care institute will be established in the district headquarters city of Kakinada in active association and coordination with NTR Cancer Trust, Hyderabad under public private participation mode.
A decision to this effect was taken at the meet organised at East Godavari District Collector Kartikeya Mishra’s camp office here on Saturday evening.
Visakhapatnam Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) executive director P Krishna Reddy, NTR Vaidyaseva Trust East Godavari coordinator V Varaprasad, district medical and health officer Dr T Ramesh Kishore participated in the meet.
The meeting decided to coordinate with NTR Cancer Trust in establishing the institute in Kakinada.
The District Collector directed Kakinada RDO L Raghu Babu and Commissioner Siva Parvati to allot one acre suitable land in Kakinada for establishing the institute.
