650 glasses distributed freely at 2-day eye camp

Rajamahendravaramn: Shelton Charitable Trust (SCT) has conducted two free eye camps here on Sunday. Hundreds of people were examined in the two eye camps. The trust vice-chairman, Kodali Tanuja said about 1,100 people were examined in the two free eye camps and glasses were distributed freely to 650 patients.
Every day 10 cataract surgeries would be performed up to February 18, which were commenced on Sunday. The eye surgeries would be conducted under the aegis of Dr Vijaya Bhaskar of Netra Eye Care. The trust is planning to take up many social service activities for the benefit of needy. Shelton managing director Kodali Sudhakar, general manager B Upendra Singh and others were present.
