Extend accessibility of welfare schemes: MLA

Kakinada: The benefits of welfare and development programmes should reach the poor to win their hearts, said Mandapeta MLA Vegulla Jogeswara Rao.

Participating in the Janmabhoomi- Maa Vooru closing ceremony and Aananda Lahari programme at the Municipal office at Mandapeta on Thursday, the MLA said that people should also support development. “The fifth phase of Janmabhoomi was successful and the spirit of the programme should continue without any break.”

Mandapeta Municipal Chairman Chundru Sri Vara Prakash, Vice-Chairman Satyavathi, AMC Chairman Padma and other leaders participated in the event Later MLA Jogeswara Rao distributed newly sanctioned ration cards and Chandranna Scholarships to the beneficiaries. The organisers also distributed gifts to the winners of Rangoli after the completion of the Ananda Lahari programme.
