Demand for plastic surgery procedures is expected to rise exponentially, according to internationally renowned plastic surgeon, Dr Sumita Shankar.
Vijayawada: Demand for plastic surgery procedures is expected to rise exponentially, according to internationally renowned plastic surgeon, Dr Sumita Shankar.
Being the managing director for Amaze Medspa, Laser & Cosmetic Surgery Centre, she is organising a joint meeting of plastic surgeons from AP and Telangana here on Saturday. Addressing a press meet here on Friday, she said that the event would highlight the need of achieving best outcome in breast surgeries and bring about awareness on breast reconstructive surgeries.
She said that plastic surgery encompasses reconstructive surgeries for trauma and post-cancer excision defects, birth defects, burns and cosmetic surgeries. “Any trauma care cases with wounds should be assessed by plastic surgeon for best outcome,” she added.
