Date locked for most-awaited digital debut of ‘The Kerala Story’

The film "The Kerala Story," featuring Adah Sharma, stirred controversy prior to its release by claiming to depict real-life events surrounding the forced conversion of Kerala women to Muslims and their alleged involvement with ISIS. Despite the initial uproar, the movie, released on May 5, 2023, proved to be a substantial box office success, amassing an impressive 240 crores nett in India.

While the theatrical release garnered attention, disappointment lingered among movie enthusiasts as the film had yet to make its way to OTT platforms. The eagerly awaited update has finally arrived – "The Kerala Story" is scheduled to make its OTT debut on February 16 on ZEE5. The film will be accessible in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages, offering a wider audience the chance to experience the controversial narrative.

In addition to Adah Sharma, the film features an ensemble cast, including Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani, Devadarshini, and Vijay Krishna, each playing crucial roles. Sudipto Sen takes the credit as both the writer and director of this intriguing project, while Vipul Amrutlal Shah served as the producer, contributing to the film's success.
