NRI girl from Oman to participate in UAE Rotax Max Championship
Muscat: An NRI girl Shivali Sinha (9) is going to participate in the prestigious UAE Rotax Max Championship in Dubai on behalf of Oman this Saturday.
This mega event will be attended by 11 different countries which include Europe, Asia and GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries under 10 category. In the same event last year, Shivali has won third place.
Speaking to media, Shivali's father Amit Sinha said that this year his daughter is going participate under Micromax category in UAE Rotax Max Championship.
The UAE Rotax Max challenge series 2019-20 which is going to held at Dubai Kartdrome and Yas Marina Circuit will have eight race tracks. He said whoever wins this challenge will qualify for the World Championship.
Amit Sinha also said that Karting is a most expensive sport and on seeing his daughters talent he is encouraging her. He said the majority of his income goes on daughters coaching, gears, dresses, helmets, tires and other things.
For this sport, the athlete needs to be physically and mentally strong, along with technical support. He said that the Oman Automobile Association (OAA) had extended their support for the event.
Sinha said that Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton is the idol for his nine years old daughter and Shivali also hopes to excel in Formula One racing just like him.
Shivali is currently taking coaching from Sanad Al Rawahi, who is the former winner of UAE Rotax Max Championship. Speaking on the occasion, Rawahi said he is training Shivali since last one year. He expressed confidence that this year she will win the title for the country.
