Woman raped by cousin in hotel room in Gurugram

Chandigarh: A 24-year-old woman, who has come to Gurugram to write exams, has alleged that her cousin had raped her while she was sleeping in the hotel room. Though this incident happened on September 22 but came into light with the complaint of the woman on Saturday.

Going into details, a young woman from Mahendragarh district of Harayana has come to Gurugram to appear for her exams. On this occasion, one of the distant cousins who visited the girl at the examination hall had convinced and took her to a hotel near Gurugram bus stand.

In this context, the man raped the woman while she was sleeping alone in the hotel room. Later, he threatened to kill her if she reveals the matter with anyone. With this, after writing the exam on the next day, she left for her native place.

However, the woman silently suffered the pain for a few days, has finally disclosed the matter with her parents. With this, they lodged a complaint with the nearest police station. On recording the statement of the victim, the police registered an FIR and transferred the case to Grurgram police station for further investigation.
