PM Modi officially launches Fit India campaign on National Sports Day

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Fit India campaign today. Couple of days ago on August 25, he announced the launch of the campaign during his monthly radio address, "Mann Ki Baat".

Addressing the nation, PM Modi said, "Fitness is not just a movement in India. Globally, it is being taken seriously. China has launched a mass campaign called 'Healthy China' via which they are aiming for every citizen to be fit by 2030. There are similar programmes across the world. A healthier or fitter country is a stronger country," PM Modi said as he launched the Fit India Movement.
