MeToo : Aditya Pancholi accused of rape

Few days after the rape case was charged against Aditya Pancholi, the details were handed over to the Versova Police station by the A-list Bollywood actress. The incident starts in 2003-04, where she had informed an IPS officer not the action was not taken. "I came to Bombay back then, with a dream to reach great heights, he was 38 then, almost 22 years elder to me. While I was aiming high, he on the other hand was married and had two children, a daughter who was my age," she said.

Adding to it, she said, " I went to a party with him in 2004, where he spiked my drink, which I realised later. He insisted to drop me home and we left in his Range Rover car, which he stopped in the middle of the road and started forcing me physically. When I said no, he took pictures of me, using them to blackmail me later. He said, we now have a relationship of a husband and wife, which we will maintain. I said, I wanted to marry a man my age, you are my father's age. From 2004-2006, he kept in various locations, and took advantage of me. I wanted to raise a complaint about it, but he stopped my auto and started beating me up, lucky for me, that I was saved that day by a pedestrian, about which I informed senior inspector Bipin Bihari."

Pancholi managed to get access to her Versova apartment, where the actress lived. He allegedly made duplicate keys to the apartment, beat her up, took all the keys and locked her inside the house. She also alleged, later in 2009, her sister came home as she was unwell, and while the actress was at a shoot, he trespassed into the house and beat up her sister as well. Upon asking her sister, she said, Pancholi attacked her and trashed her ruthlessly.

The actress had asked him (Pancholi) why he was troubling them, he told her to give her back all the money he spent on them, and asked for 1 crore rupees, and she even paid him 50 lakhs, after which he stopped troubling them for a while.

"Once I got famous, Pancholi started demanding money again. He contacted my sister and brother and told them he would leak the pictures if the money was not given. I have the threatening messages, of him stating to destroy my career, if his needs are not met." Said the actress as a conclusive statement.

The Versova Police charged the following cases on Pancholi: Section 376(rape), 328 (cause damage with the intention to poisoning), 384(extortion), 341(wrongful restraint), 324 ( wrongful confinement), 323(voluntarily causing hurt), 506(criminal intimidation) of the Indian penal code. To which Pancholi said, " I refuse to the allegations, she is framing me for not withdrawing the defamation case against her."

Pancholi was granted bail till July 19th, on the condition that he would visit the Versova Police station on Wednesday and Friday to co-operate with the interrogation. The bail was granted by the, Dindoshi sessions court.
