J & K: 2 Hizbul Terrorists Neutralised By Security Forces
Srinagar: Security forces eliminated two dreaded terrorists belonging to the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit on the Kulgam-Anantnag border in Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Saturday. Security forces carried out a high precision operation ensuring that there was no collateral damage. In an exchange of fire both terrorists holed up in the area were eliminated. Two pistols with ammunition and three grenades were recovered from them.
Security forces laid an elaborate cordon and zeroed in on the terrorists who opened fire, according to media reports. Both the Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were neutralised in the ensuing encounter.

Security forces also defused a suspected improvised explosive device IED consisting of a small cylinder with a timer near a bridge on the river Erin in Bandipora here on Saturday. A bomb disposal squad defused the object which was found by the armies Road opening party earlier on Saturday. The explosive was found near Popchan/Nadhihal on Bandipora-Srinagar road.
Over the past few days, security forces have successfully eliminated around 15 terrorists many of whom were well-trained, hardened militants. Pakistan has been trying to up the ante and pushes terrorists in large numbers across the line of control. Alert security forces, however, have thwarted Pakistan's repeated attempts to send infiltrators across the LoC.
