Hyderabad Rape and Murder Case: Guwahati veterinary students protest
Guwahati: The recent rape and murder of 26-year-old veterinary doctor in the Shamshabad area of Hyderabad has shook the nation. Protests are being carried out through the country to make sure the accused are brought to justice as early as possible. The victim's parents, speaking to the media demanded the same and slammed the Telangana Chief Minister KCR for not taking action sooner.
In latest, the students and faculty of College of Veterinary Science, Guwahati protested against the attack and demanded swift action against the four men who brutally gang-raped and murdered the victim by setting her ablaze. The students and teachers of the College of Veterinary Science, Guwahatievening took out a candlelight march to protest the brutal rape and murder of the Telangana doctor on Tuesday.
Several hundreds of students and teachers took part in the protest rally and demanded immediate punishment to the offenders. The students said they want justice to be done. They added that the punishment system should be strict so that nobody would dare to commit rape. The added that the candle light march is not just for the one victim but for the entire system to change. The teachers and students demanded that the government must enable special laws to stop the heinous crimes in the country.
