Delhi Police On Alert After Farmer Leaders Detained

Prior to the Sunday protesting wrestlers' march towards the new Parliament building, thousands of police officers were stationed at the boundaries of Delhi, Lutyens' Delhi, and numerous tiers of barriers had been erected.

Wrestlers on Saturday that they would host a women's Maha Panchayat in front of it. The protesting wrestlers, led by Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, and Sakshi Malik, have called for the arrest of Brij Bhushan Singh, president of the Wrestling Federation of India, who they claim has harassed several female wrestlers.
Furthermore, the movement of farmers' organisations from Punjab's Ambala towards Delhi for the Mahila Mahapanchayat outside the new Parliament Building in New Delhi is being stopped. Gurnam Singh Charuni, the leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, was one of the farmers' leaders who was imprisoned in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The majority of the female-dominated groups had stopped for the night at Gurudwara Manji Sahib on NH-44 when a sizable police presence turned the location into a fortress.
From Rohtak, Bhiwani, Hisar, Jind, and other regions of the state, Khap commanders were apprehended. Leaders of the Binain Khap were taken into custody at Jind's Narwana Railway Station.
