CRPF Schools In Delhi Receive Bomb Threat Emails; Authorities Confirm It Was A Hoax
Update: 2025-11-18 15:52 IST
Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) schools in Delhi sparked concern on Tuesday morning after receiving bomb threat emails, triggering immediate emergency protocols and a coordinated response from police and fire services. The threats, sent around 9 a.m., targeted the schools located in Prashant Vihar and Dwarka, both attended by hundreds of students.
Upon receiving the alerts, school authorities promptly informed law enforcement, following standard safety procedures. Students and staff were moved to safe zones as Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, and Delhi Fire Services arrived at the campuses to conduct thorough inspections.
Over the next several hours, teams systematically checked classrooms, playgrounds, vehicles, and surrounding areas. Sniffer dogs and bomb detection equipment were deployed as part of the standard response to such high-risk alerts.
After completing the sweeps, officials confirmed that no suspicious objects or materials were found, ultimately declaring the threats to be hoaxes. A senior police officer stated that the emails appeared to be part of a pattern of fake threats that several schools across the city have been receiving in recent months.
The incident added to growing anxiety among parents, as more than 100 schools in Delhi have been targeted with similar hoax threats in recent weeks. Authorities are continuing to investigate the source of these emails and are exploring whether the cases are connected.
Police have urged the public not to panic while assuring that every threat—real or fake—will be treated with full seriousness to ensure student safety. Cyber units are now examining the emails to trace their origin.
The schools resumed normal operations after clearance, but security has been heightened as a precaution.
