Ayodhya Verdict: Politicians and lawmakers in the country react to the judgment

The long-pending land dispute issue of Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case has finally come to an end, with the court ruling in favour of constructing a temple at the site. A separate piece of land has been granted to the Sunni Waqf Board. While the Waqf Board said they are dissatisfied with the ruling and said they would be seeking a review in the judgment, leaders came out in support of the judgment and mainly urged the people of India to remain calm and peaceful.

PM Modi has been urging the citizens to remain calm on the judgment day. He welcomed the judgment and said the dispute has been resolved amicably.

Spiritual leader Sri Sri heartily welcomed the Supreme Court's ruling in the case.

Opposition Party Indian National Congress released a statement about respecting the Court's ruling and said they stand by the judgment.

BJP's Vasundhara Raje backed PM Modi's statement about no winners or losers in the case.

Popular author Chetan Bhagat came out in support of the ruling.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagawat and chief ministers of various states have welcomed the decision and urged the citizens of their home states and in India to remain peaceful and harmonious on an eventful day.

No cases of unrest have been so far in UP while restrictions are still in place in various sensitive parts of the country.
