Hyderabad: Fake visa agent arrested
Hyderabad: The south zone task force on Wednesday apprehended a fake travel agent who had committed multiple crimes of making duplicate visas and luring gullible people to send them to foreign countries. The accused was identified as Sikander Khan.
According to task force police, the citizens who were cheated by the accused filed police complaints at different police stations.
Based on the complaints, he was apprehended and further enquiries revealed that he was arrested earlier also in regard to the same crime, but after coming out of jail he started committing the same offence.
Moreover, the accused person visited Dubai in 2012 and stayed there for one year where he learned the nuances of processing visas and thought of earning more money by coming back to India. After coming back, he started a travel agency and lured many gullible people by promising them jobs in foreign countries and took Rs 50,000 to 70,000 from each person and sent them on visit visas rather than job visas.
After conducting thorough investigation and monitoring his activities he was apprehended again by the task force and handed over to Kalapathar PS for further booking of cases against him.
