A youth died after being hit by a train in Anantapur district

Dharmavaram: A youth who was crossing the railway track has been killed after being hit by a train. At the time of the incident, the man was listening to music with his earphones connected, where he ignored the oncoming train.

The tragedy happened at the Patakunta railway gate in Dharmavaram town of Anantapur district on Monday night. The deceased identified as Sai Kumar Reddy (21) a resident of Jogonikunta here in the town.

Sai Kumar is studying BSC second year in a private college. On Monday night around 8:30 pm, he went out of the house to bring the curries and died on the spot after being hit by a train.

On seeing the dead body lying on the tracks, the railway officials passed on the information to the deceased family members. The earphones were seen stuck in the deceased ears. Over the incident, the railway police registered a case and investigating further.
