Visakhapatnam: Despite pandemic, campus placements see a rise

Visakhapatnam: The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on economies and businesses moves from the disruption caused by lockdowns to long-term issues.

Despite the pandemic-induced challenges, placements for the MBA students at GITAM Deemed to be University commenced at a brisk pace with reputed companies.

Along with other companies, the e-commerce giant Amazon and ICICI Bank rolled out pre-placement offers to 12 students.

One of the leading FMCG companies, Marico has also selected business graduate students from the Institute of Management. A total of 35 students were selected and placed in the beginning of the placement season, said KV Uma Devi, chairperson of GITAM Institute of Management Placements wing.

Further she informed that prominent recruiters including ITC Ltd., Naukri.com, Axis Bank, Monster Energy, Talent Sprint and Perfetti Van Melle, have confirmed their slots for recruitment in the first week of December.
