Visakhapatnam: 534 GITAM students get selected for TCS
Visakhapatnam: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) selected 534 final year engineering students of the GITAM Deemed to be University.
According to GITAM career services assistant dean commander Gurumoorthy Gangadharan, students topped the AP Region in TCS national qualification test in terms of registration and participation.
The national qualifier was followed by campus interviews, focussing on corporate awareness and project readiness. He further informed that those who got selected will undergo intense training programme and will join the project groups focusing on latest technologies, including data mining, cyber security and cloud computing Kedarisetti Sree Vamsi, who got selected for Rs.7 lakh package in TCS Digital said that exposure to blended learning on the campus, mock interviews helped him perform well in online interviews.
The academic collaborations between GITAM and the TCS cover a wide gamut of activities like provision of ION platform for e-learning, brand ambassador programme, internships, faculty development programmes, helped the students to achieve success in campus interviews, said GITAM Institute of Technology Principal C Dharma Raj. Vice-Chancellor of the institution K Sivaramakrishna, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Jayasankar Variyar and Registrar D Gunasekharan appreciated the students who got selected for their achievement in the campus drive.
