YS Jagan lays foundation stone for development works of Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada
VIJAYAWADA : Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for the development works of Kanaka Durga Temple with a cost of Rs. 216 crore on Thursday morning.
The Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has allocated various sums of money for the development and reconstruction of the Kanaka Durga Temple and its surrounding areas. The development of the temple itself will cost 216 crore rupees. Additionally, Rs. 5.60 crores will be spent on the reconstruction of the Sri Malleswara Swamy temple, Rs. 4.25 crores for hill protection works on Indrakiladri, and 3.25 crores for LT panel boards, energy water management, and SCADA setup.
Furthermore, Rs. 3.87 crores will be used for the reconstruction of temples that were demolished during the 2016 Pushkaras, and Rs. 5.66 crores will be spent on umbilical construction at the bottom of the hill. The construction of temples dedicated to Anjaneya Swamy and Vinayaka Swamy Varla at Toli Mettu will cost 0.265 crores.
Significant amounts have also been allocated for other projects related to the temple. This includes Rs. 30 crores for the construction of the Ammavari Anna Prasada Bhavana, Rs. 27 crores for the construction of an elevated queue complex from Kanakadurga Nagar to Mahamandap, and Rs. 13 crores for the same queue complex.
