Tributes paid to Mahatma

Jubilee Hills: Rich tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, on the eve of his 150th birth anniversary at Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana. T Harish Rao, the Minister for Finance, and B P Acharya, D-G of HRDI, and others paid floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.

On this occasion, a special installation of Mahatma Gandhi made by Ch Manohar, a reputed sculptor of Telangana, was displayed. Acharya presented a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi to Harish Rao.

The Trainee Civil Servants belonging to 15 All India Services and Central Civil Services, representing 22 States from across the country, who are attending the 94th Foundation Course, attended the event with great reverence and respect.

Also present were the staff of the Institute in large numbers. All those who were present at the event had a prayer on their lips for Mahatma Gandhi's vision of India that his ideals would continue to inspire them.
