Surprised over results, says Minister Talasani

Secunderabad: Minster for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography T Srinivas Yadav said that he was surprised over the results, as he was confident of a TRS win in the Secunderabad parliamentary constituency comfortably. He was addressing a press conference held at the MLA quarters here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that success and defeat were part of elections and they would continue to participate in public service activities irrespective of the result. He congratulated PM Narendra Modi for BJP's landslide victory at the national level. He also congratulated the Secunderabad BJP candidate G Kishan Reddy on his victory.

Ridiculing the parties that only secured only a few seats in the state, he said that TRS party was defeated only in some regions due to the Modi or BJP wave. The TRS has withstood the Modi wave which swept across the nation by securing nine seats in the State, he added. He promised to continue their focus on developing the state and achieve their goal of transforming the state into a golden Telanagana.

Talasani Saikiran Yadav, son of the Minister and Secunderabad TRS candidate, who lost to BJP's Kishan Reddy, thanked the TRS Party for giving an opportunity to a young person like him to contest in the Lok Sabha elections. He thanked the party cadre and people who voted for him for their support during the elections.
