Solve sanitation & water issues: Dodla Venkatesh Goud to officials
Allwyn Colony: Regular steps should be taken at the ground level to solve people's sanitation and water works problems in Allwyn Colony division, local Corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud told the officials concerned on Friday.
Addressing a review meeting at his office with sanitation and HMWSSB officials, he called for serious efforts to totally ban the use of plastic items in the division, while offering cooperation to make it effective.
Goud advised the officials to create the required public awareness on the ban to make it meaningful by undertaking tours of the division areas. Referring to the water supply problems, he said the board should compulsorily provide water on alternate days without fail so as to ensure that residents don't face any hardship. The corporator advised residents to get their connections regularised by approaching either his office or the HMWSSB office.
Among those present at the meeting were AMHO Rajasekhar Reddy, Water Works Manager Venkateswar Rao, S R P Satyanarayana, Ward Member Kasinath Yadav, TRS leaders Jilla Ganesh, Kishan, Poshetty and Narsimlu.
