Road under bridge works begin in Kompally
Kompally: Road under bridge (RUB) works were started in Kompally by a Pune-based company named Gahi Construction Limited (GCL). It took up the project awarded by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Vehicle under pass is constructed to prevent from accidents in the area of NH44 which is combining four villages.
"The work is taken up on a war-footing base, and it will be completed by the month of January. After the completion of project, locals will have a free flow of public transportation and accidents will be reduced," says project engineer Kamal Nayan Singh.
Operation chief engineer from south division Dr Hari Karan Singh is leading the project. "Construction of these tunnels makes an easy route to Thumkunta limits and connects to state highway, Rajeev Rahadari, where there will be no risk in taking a u-turn," opined P Nagaraju, a local resident. He also stated that schoolchildren would have a straight way to pass the bridge through the tunnels, which prevents any threat to their safety.
