Rangoli competitions draw crowds

Serilingampally: Women participated in large numbers in the Rangoli competitions organised by Srimahalakshmi Mahila Mandali in Netajinagar on Monday under the joint auspices of Buchhamolla Venkatamma Parmayya Memorial Trust and Venkatesh Goud. The women presented items reflecting the Telangana Rangoli culture to mark the Sankranti festival. The winners were given the first, second, third and fourth prizes, besides to all participants.

Mahila Mandali president Yeddula Rameswaramma Reddy chaired the prize-distribution function. Trust chairman and president of Netajinagar Residents' Welfare Association Uppari Shekhar Sagar and members of the Mahila Mandali and association general secretary Venkatesh Goud, deputy general secretary P Krishna Mudiraj, association leaders Srinivas Sagar, Mahesh, Santosh and Srinivas, and the judge of the competition, Narsimha Murthy.
