Rain-battered roads causing hardships

Serilingampally: Roads in the town are turning from bad to worse, with every stretch full of potholes, causing severe hardships to residents. The continuous rainfall during the last week rendered the main pathways water-logged resulting in traffic jams to a distance of several km.

Roads in Madhapur, Gachibowli, Kondapur, Miyapur, Lingampally are full of potholes. The Kondapur-Allwyn Crossroads, Gachibowli-Biodiversity Crossroads, Miyapur-Bollaram Road, besides the main road are no different, leading to traffic jams during the morning hours.

Consequently, road-users are a worried lot how to travel to their destinations. They are reportedly even afraid to come out of the safety of their houses. Speaking to The Hans India on the deplorable condition of roads, several residents urged GHMC officials to take remedial measures, while blaming lack of quality work for their current status.
