Punjagutta graveyard cries for attention
Punjagutta: Punjagutta Hindu Smashana Vatika is in a sad state with no basic facilities. "I just came here for the cremation of my grandmother. I heard a lot about this graveyard but disappointed after seeing the condition. They are nearly six to seven tap connections in the washroom but only one tap is functional, says T Neeraj Kumar a Ola cab driver.
There is no maintenance. The uncleaned washrooms are not in condition even the doors are broken and damaged, said Arvind a visitor. "I spend some time at my father's grave. The facilities have been deteriorating," says Mohan, IT employee in Accenture. "The place is good but the washrooms are very filthy.
They require some cleaning and even the doors are also damaged. I can't understand why the officials are not taking any care to the washrooms. They are very important in a graveyard as bathing should be done for sure after the cremation," says T Vamsi Krishna, a B Tech graduate.
