Power woes to end in Rahmath Nagar
Yousufguda: The residents of Rahmath Nagar and its surroundings are heaving a sigh of relief as the Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (TSTRANSCO) has set up additional 70 transformers Under Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) replacing transformers at TSTRANSCO Erragadda. Required steps were taken to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply in summer when the demand is expected to be 11,000 MW.
The key components of the IPDS are strengthening the sub-transmission and distribution networks, Metering of feeders, Distribution Transformers (DTs) and consumers, and IT-enablement of the distribution segment (R-APDRP).
K Vaishnavi Devi, AE, expressed happiness over the support of government in terms of 24/7 power supply to each house. Additional 70 Transformers which are installed would be much helpful to supply and store the power generated, it will also help to balance the high-voltage and over loading or low generation situations.
As the summer reached and heat erupting days would be demanding more and more power generation. Transforming enough power from our station and with the help of these additional transformers we would beat the demand.
"We bound to provide 24/7 power supply by any means from our power station which is active functional. These 70 Additional Transformers will help to beat the power demand in this season. Mostly, the power supply for Rahmath Nagar area code 324, which has 26,000 connections, in this 2,600 connections around 200-300 connections be pending, 200-400 would be excuse connections in this area. If such cases be notified, immediate action would be taken.
In the point of electricity circuits and High Power voltage scenarios, this additional transformers be helpful to catch up the load and supports to balance the power transmission said Rajesh, sub-engineer.
