Musheerabad: Participants in the relay hunger strike at Dharna Chowk on Friday organised by TRT State Association, in coordination with BC associations and Unemployed JAC demanded posting orders to 8,792 candidates who were selected as teachers in TRT 2017. The protestors also wanted immediate release of results of PIT, SA, LA (Hindi).

Member of the State Legislative Council Narsi Reddy, National BC Welfare Association president R Krishnaiah and former MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy extended solidarity to the fast. They said that the notification on filling teacher posts was issued two years back. Amid many disputes, the Education department officials had six months back sent the final selected lists after verifying the certificates.

The leaders alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was yet to pay attention to the issue. As such, thousands of selected candidates and their families were facing severe anxiety. The protestors warned that if the government failed to act on the demand by June 7, they would take up direct action.
