OU signs MoUs for stepwell restoration, biogas unit

Hyderabad: Osmania University (OU) on Friday signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to promote sustainability and heritage preservation on campus.

According to the officials, the first MoU was with the Society for the Advancement of Human Endeavour (SAHE), a non-governmental organisation (NGO). The collaboration focuses on restoring three historical stepwells located within the OU campus: the Adikmet stepwell, the stepwell near the University of

Education block, and the stepwell near the Mechanical Engineering block.

The second MoU involves Saahas, another NGO dedicated to solid waste management, and Ahuja Engineering Services Pvt Ltd. This agreement aims to establish a biogas unit with a capacity of 2 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) within the OU campus.
