OU girl students seek tighter security

Osmania University: Girl students under the aegis of All India Students' Federation (AISF) and Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) took out a rally from Engineering College to the Administrative Building on Monday demanding security for hostels.

They said they had been feeling insecure as a miscreant entered the hostel recently. They expressed ire over in-charge VC not acting following the incident. They demanded installation of CCTV cameras.

They threatened to intensify protest until the registrar assured them of tight security. AISF leaders RN Shankar, Kampalli Srinivas, PDSU leaders Ranjith and Rakesh were present.
